I moved to Barcelona, Spain, on my astrocartography Venus Line. What did I learn?

A rant about my expectations vs reality of moving to my Venus Descendent line (aka, "the marriage line")

These nuggets are in no particular order but they are all vital lessons in love and dating that I learned while living on my Venus descendent (DS) line. This line is more than just a “find your forever partner” line. I’ve learned that it also teaches you about relationships and how you navigate them. Sure, most of these relationship lessons are romantically based but, honestly, many of them can be applied to platonic, familial, professional, and all the other relationships we juggle in our lives.

Let’s dive in!

• A good dating life starts and ends with knowing what you will and will not accept.

• It’s money and energy-efficient to leave a bad date early (even if you aren’t the one paying).

• Not every city on your Venus Descendent line is where you’ll find a love interest. Some of these cities are where you’ll learn specific lessons about love to help you grow as a romantic/sexual person.

• A lack of sexual discipline can ruin your life (not my lesson but I saw it play out in someone else’s life)

• True chemistry is hard to find, and it should be. Not everyone should “click” with you, if you’re a unique person, and that’s ok.

• Some men want nothing from you but to manipulate you and/or waste your time. It’s your job to find out what they look like and act accordingly.

• While chemistry is important, I appreciate a man who knows there’s so much more to me than an initial “spark” and wants to explore me.

• There’s nothing sexier than a man who doesn’t play about you.

  

• Your Venus line can also bring about life-changing friendships, if you let yourself be open.

• Being confused is a “no.” Uncertainty is a “no.” A lack of clarity is a “no.” Anything that isn’t an enthusiastic and clear “yes” is a “no.” Walk away.

• You don’t have to change who you are, how you flirt, how you engage with men just because you’re traveling the world and experiencing new dating cultures. Your people will find you if you stay true to yourself.

• There are so many types of love in this world and I feel like I touched so many different forms of love living on my Venus DS line.
